Treatment of leather

Leather products, like furniture or car interiors, can be in need of treatment for various reasons. For example because the leather is dirty or discolored by the sun.

In the factory leather is being treated several times. This treatment includes two kinds of coloring.

Topfinish does the second coloring all over again. The different stages in this process:

1. cleaning, degreasing and removing the top finish
2. tape where necessary
3. apply a first coloured coating by washing in
4. spray the right color
5. apply a colorless protecting finish which determines the gloss or dullness

Obviously we have all kinds of different specific finishes for upholsterers, shoes or leather gear.
